Bandwidth tracking and capping prog...

Hello all...

I am in need of a program that can track uploads/downloads of client machines in a WIN2003 server network.

I've got DHCP, DNS, AD, Routing/Gateway, and DC on the Win 2k3 server, and am needing a way to track how much each individual client machine has uploaded/downloaded.

Also, I would like to find a way that I can cap or limit a person's speed and bandwidth use per connection/IP.

Is such a thing possible?

Thanks!

Dave

as for tracking by machine... I use NAI's Netasyst for periodic checks.

A product like http://www.paessler.com/prtg/?link=prod1 may be what you need. I don't think this limits traffic though.

Checkout the tool at the bottom ([A3D]Hatswitch link)

Windows has QOS abilities but I haven't ever tried to use them.

This one has monitoring and some limiting ability http://www.allot.com/pages/product_c...?intGlobalId=6 but looks expensive.

If you can put a linux box out there look at www.ntop.org which will do just that.
