Need answer to Wireless Problem

Hi. I am new here, but I recently purchased some wireless networking equipment. I previously was wired and have encountered the same problem with both types of networking. Let me say this first. My network is for file and printer sharing, and not currently for dialup. When I am accessing one computer from another, it does fine, but if I am connected online via dialup on one of the computers, it seems to take so long to access another computer and seems to be trying to communicate through the dilaup which is not what I want. If I connect to another computer while not online, it communicates very fast. If it is trying to access other computers on my home network via dialup when I am online, can I stop this? I want to conect to others computers on my network only by wireless router. Thanks for any help I can get.
