I should have explained a little better.
I built a pc for a friend of mine, and installed his windows 98se in the new box. I have been having troubles getting 98 to run decent on it. (I posted my problems here if any of you can help
http://www.techimo.com/forum/t106422.html)
I would rather get 98 to run because the guys doesn't want to spend a lot of money. But I have almost given up on that.
I bought an OEM version of Windows xp home edition on New Egg. Unless I can get 98 running better I am going to reformat, and install xp. My question is, if, for some reason down the road I need to do a reformat and reinstall of xp, will it let me activate it again? I know with the retail version, you can do that as many times as you want. But I heard somewhere that with an OEM version, it may not activate again.
