Gaming Getting super deals on MS software for Class

Man, it could almost pay for itself enrolling in a class here at Lewis & Clark Community College (hey, don't knock it...it's all I have!).

For being enrolled in a qualified course, I am now entitled to the following deals for full version (labelled academic) software for the great prices you see below:

$7 -- Windows XP Professional
$7 -- Visio Professional
$7 -- Visio Professional 2003
$7 -- Project Professional 2002
$7 -- Project Professional 2003
$13- Visual Studio .NET Professional

Pretty darn good prices, if one wants or needs the software. Too bad I don't, as well as not wanting to give MS another dime. But I guess I pretty much did when I enrolled in several network related classes. There was a part of the EULA I read that I didn't like which said updates would terminate once I no longer qualified for the program...if that's the case, which I have my doubts about, then they need to drop the prices by about 100%. But I said I doubt that because the wording seemed to state that one would merely loose the right, not the actual ability, to continue updating the product.

those prices don't include shipping

Wow, those are some really low prices for Microsoft products.
If I had the opportunity that you have to get all those softwares for those prices, I would go for it. But thats just me.

I thought so. I just couldn't believe you weren't interested in these products after seeing the prices you can get them for. Even if I don't like some of those products, I would still buy them, because those prices are just incredibly low. At least comparing them to the usual price Microsoft put on those softwares price tags. I think Windows XP Professional is the most interesting in that list.

I've been here (in college) for a while now...but just now started back up into the tech classes. My previous "school" had no such program, despite being a [joke of a] technical college.

Our school has online computer classes...if this deal can be done for online students (I will check on that), it could be worth someone's while to enroll in a class!

Too bad they don't have Server 2003 on there...that's the class I'm in, that's the software I need the most right now! [supposedly up to 50 copies are to be onhand here of Server 2003 for install loan, but the guy in charge doesn't seem to like having more than one and it's always out]

My university doesn't have an agreement with Microsoft so I can't get discounted software. However, I haven't tried checking with computer services.
