PLease Help with DVD + RW/+R Drive

i have recently purchased a new computer and with it came a DVD + RW/+R Device (Ricoh MP5240A) . I have the latest version of Nero Burning Rom --> Nero 6 Ultra Edition, and it does not seem to recognise this device/drive. In the recorder options it says this is an imaging recorder and I cannot burn cds. please help i dont know how to fix this problem and would like to use this ASAP!

dont know if this will help but there is a huge nero update

in nero press crtl-r, select your dvd drive from there.

the drive you have is compatible with nero 5.5 and up

i tried pressing ctrl-r but it only lists the imaging recorder and says it is a virtual device...

Try uninstalling then reinstalling and updating Nero.

when i purchased my computer evrything came with it i do not have any disks for Nero. i couldn't uninstall it and reinstall it without the disks could i?
