Talk Got my package from Uncle Bill
It took a few weeks, but I finally got my "Security Update CD" from the gang at Microsoft. Came in a nice slim package, with a green colored theme, and dated February 2004. It was also labeled with FREE antivirus and firewall trial CD included. I'll have to check out what "trial" exactly means

good for u. still waiting for my copy i signed up b4.
is that Computer Associates (CA) EZ Antivirus/firewall? i got ez firewall from m$ which is 1 year free updates.

I belive the AV and Firewall trial software is from Computer Associates and believe it is the following: ( I may be wrong)



eTrust Antivirus v7 for Windows. Includes a 30-day license for desktops, servers and the eTrust Antivirus Admin Server. Trial copies of eTrust Antivirus for Windows are available in English, Spanish, French, German and Japanese.

e Trust Antivirus v7 for the Gateway. Includes a 30-day license for the Stand Alone Gateway Edition, CVP Firewall Edition, Microsoft Proxy Edition and Microsoft ISA Server Edition plug-ins.

Yeah got that cd from M$ too. It was helpful cause i was putting XP on my parents pc and they got dialup and it can be a pita to find redistro versions of all the updates.

Sorry to hear that, Gatekeeper. Hang in there, I'm sure your time will come soon.

I'm not too thrilled about trying out a 30 day trial package. I'm running the freebies of AGV for anti-virus and Zone Alarm for my firewall. They do the job, so I don't think I'll switch right now. Would like to hear feedback from those that do give it a try

Just got an email from Microsoft stating that they finally sent my cd. They must have been swamped with orders.
