AOL 9.0 File Cabinet Problem

Hey guys,

I have an issue with restoring AOL File Cabinet on a system. The person I am doing this for got a new Laptop with 9.0 installed on it and he wants to use it. I backed up his AOL File Cabinet from 6.0 on his old system by going to manage and doing a backup, then copy the file over to the laptop and doing a manage and restore.
This worked fine since all his e-mails have been moved over, but the problem is that in the new mail area it says that he has 271 new messages but the area is blank displaying no e-mails.
His old e-mails, recently delted e-mails and spam folder has things and they can be viewed but not the new mail area.

Note:
He had the same problem when he upgraded to 9.0 on his old system.

Any thoughts on this?

Never!!!
AOL is like smoking to me, as much as I want to get away from it I got people around puffing away tempting me back.

Amazingly enough, I had this problem the last time I reloaded Windows. I used an AOL online techie who explained how to fix it, but I can't remember what I did (since I ended up dumping 9.0 and going back to 8.0 Plus).

Well it seems to have fixed itself.
The guy took his laptop home where it picked up his wireless connection and by some miracle or act of black magic all his new e-mails were there.

Go figure.

Thanks for the help guys
