USB prob - keeps resetting (Asus MB)

please help:

I have an ASUS SiS 648 Chipset Motherboard for Intel Socket 478 CPU, Model "P4S8X-X."

my system keeps resetting when I plug in anything, particularly my Lexar 128mb thumb drive. Other peripherals cause a restart when I move the USB plug around a little. With the thumb drive, the system boots, but as soon as it begins to load the drivers for the removable drive, *POOF* it reserts. It's pissing me OFF!

any ideas? could this be a driver fix? hm.. thanks in advance.

Sounds like your box is a tad weak on the 5V power rail. Check the power supply. Is it on the weak side for the system you have? What do the voltages read in BIOS?
