if you are into online gamin i hear that satellite is a poor choice do to slow uploading.i have no experience with it so i can not conferm this . i do know that at least here in S.FLA that satellite TV sucks. when ever the weather is bad ex..rain clouds(the time that you are most likely to be inside) that the reception sucks and likely to lose connection til the clouds part

this is when using those small 18" dishes after my parents contract was up they swiched back to cable TV

Yah I am into online gaming (Americas Army) I have like 2.5 hours a day on it well I think it would still be a lot better than trying to play it on dial-up. How does dsl work? In that link it says it uses your phone line.... so is it a good possibility that it could be available where I will be living? TY again sam

I have DSL and it is great for gamin you can be on line and and talk on the phone at the same time when you get your DSL modem they usually come with these little filters that you have to plug into all of your phone jacks except the one for your computer even the ones not being used so that it will seperate the DSL from your phone line

look at the second link i gave you and read the upload speeds(30-60k sometimes less) that is close to dialup speeds on a good 56k modem your ping time for gammin would suck i would rather have dialup for gamin than satellite especially for the price of satellite

http://www.dslreports.com/

put your zip code of where you will be living in the upper left corner and this should tell you what is available in that area and some customer feed back
