help, cant access my display properties

just of late i seem to have lost my display properties, and also the display properties to my nvidia centre, i have downmload the latest drivers for my mainboard, and the latest drivers for nvidia,

this happend a couple of weeks back, i brought a new graphics card, and im still having the same problems. im also getting a code 10 on my display adapters, could this be the problem. i have done everyting i can to get it working, i did have it working for a few days the other day, after removing and reinstalling, but now it has gone back to the way it was before, i have checked for viruses ans spybots, that maybe causing the problem. but nothing. i just dont understand it. its like the pc is saying im not keeping them settings, tough luck.

any advice would be helpful.

before you install your new card did you make sure your old video
drivers were deleted and done a search on your HD for anything
pertaining to your old card and deleted

shut down computer ,install new card ,let windows recognize
the new card ,install drivers
