Every time I try to open internet explorer, my documents, or control panel, the taskbar and icons on the desktop disappear and then reappear after a second, sort of like it's refreshing. I scanned with an antivirus, but nothing came up. Does anyone know what this is?

try running scandisk, disk cleanup and disk defragmenter. Maybe that will help you. If you already done all that ...give some more info on your trouble...like what os you running, how much space you got used up and how much you got left.....and so on....good luck, and make sure everything is checkmarked in the disc cleanup.

Make sure you have the latest version of your video drivers and directx installed. If its not that check the refresh rate of your monitor.
