Twin hard drive probs

i recently uppgraded my HD but i wanted to use them both at the same time but the only way i can get them to work is either independently of each other or for some reason in safe mode but whe i try and boot up normally it hangs jus b4 it would finish loading windows and show the login screen... any ideas on how to fix this?

If they are on the same IDE cable, the one loaded with Windows should connected to the black end connecter and be jumpered as Master and the one connected to the middle grey connecter should be set as Slave. In the BIOS, the boot order needs to be set to boot to IDE-0 first.

Having an OS on both HDDs shouldn't pose a problem as long as the boot order in the BIOS and the jumper settings on the HDDs are correct.

Interesting. So, you said earlier that it works fine with only one drive connected? But not with both? Are you using a 40 pin IDE cable or a 80 pin? What are your system specs? OS, motherboard, power supply, CPU, etc.
