newbie question

Everytime I turn on my pc and it post it tells me "press F1 to continue" or "Del" to enter the BIOS.Is there anyway for it to just POST and go straight to XP automatically,or am I stuck having to Hit F1 everytime?

Mobo : Shuttle An35n-Ultra.

Sorry if its a dumb question.

may be a flat battery or a bios setup problem. look in your bios for a quick boot or fast boot enable option, make sure it is enabled. change the battery, too, and make sure your bios is still setup correctly.

Whenever I encounter this, one thing always works for me. Just press Del, enter the BIOS, then choose "Exit and Save Changes." I don't encounter that message afterwards.

but if the battery is flat, then the f1 to continue message comes back. you're right though, i forgot to mention the save changes bit! that's my organization level for you. just yesterday, i wrote a minimum list of parts a friend needed to buy for a new build and forgot to tell him to buy a motherboard, lol. what is obvious to me, i forget may not be so to another, sorry, exsus
