At Home Secure Web page login problems with IE

It is my understanding that there is a problems with Internet Explorer while trying to log into a secure web page, for example my bank account or even trying to log onto MSN. I installed the updates they recommended at microsft.com but still it did nothing for me. What are some other things I can do? Its driving me crazy nothing being able to pay my bills online Any info will help.

Thank you,

Luke

Hmm I'm not aware of any problems.

Have you tried a different browser?

Opera Browser
Free, IMO INFINATELY better/safer than Internet exploder.
Or even Mozilla
If your websites still don't work maybe there is another problem going on somewhere.

Well, if you were to go to Microsoft.com and go to there downloads link it will have something in there that you can download. Some kind of service pack or something. I would like to use another web browser but when i try to log onto MSN Explorer it wont allow me to. This has just happend within the last 4 or 5 days, and Microsoft.com said its been happening in the last week. So I figured I wasn't the only one having the problem. Apperently I am.

Thanks anyway,

Luke

Was it working before this??
And please post the page you are trying to reach it might be a problem with the server, not your settings.
We might get the same error message you are meaning its them, not you.

Oh yeah, I've never had this problem before. Normally Im pretty good with computers and its just frusterating that nobody else is having this problem. I've called my ISP and they tell me to contact the manufacture of my wireless base station, I call Dell Customer support and they cant speak english to save thier life, and now I cant even get windows updates or e-mail Microsoft about the problem because when I try to fill out thier form and submit it, it says "this page cannot be displayed" Almost as if my computer can connect to the internet. Obvisouly I can...

Lets see, I try to sign on to my Bank One accout at www.bankone.com also my other bank account at www.macatawabank.com and I cant even check my e-mail at www.hotmail.com.

I can visit these sites with no problem, its only when I try logging in it gives be the "page cannot be displayed"

Thanks for your help

Send a message via ICQ to brandon184
I've never heard of this IE bug before... I haven't had the problem, and I've run through many different versions of IE.

You might want to run AdAware, to check for spyware.

What are your system specifications? What sort of connection are you on?
