CD-ROM stealthing

Does anyone know how to stealth a drive besides the normal way? I have read a few articles about Stealthing, but have never found anything exotic. Like on the new G5 Apples a thing slides down then the drive comes out. Also is there a way to open the CD-Rom from a Windows desktop?
Thanx

Food

Some of the Sky Hawk cases (at mwave.com and others) have a motorized sliding door in front of the exposed bays - pretty cool if you like that sort of thing. Those models are a bit riced for my taste. Another Sky Hawk model has a manual door that stays tight to the case - swings around the side like the one on the Ahanix Black Knight. Check 'em all out.

it all depends on your skill level, what kind of drive you are using, and how much you want to spend on stealthing your drives. You can hinge the panel and use a light spring to get it to pop back up, using the tray to push it open ( no confirmation that this would actually work...the tray may just shut on its own, but some trays are pretty forceful ).

Just gotta use your imagination!

And you can open the drive through software. Just figure out what way you want to do it. You could always configure a hotkey to eject the drive too...
