Outdoors banned ripper in DVD X Copy Platinum discussion

What do you think about DVD X Copy Platinum being banned? I've heard some say it's the best software purchase they had ever made. What about the moral issue? What about value.. Do you think DVD X Copy Platinum will be worth a lot more money in say a year from now?

Personally, I think if I own it I can do whatever I want with it as long as I am not making a profit from it [that's a whole new level].

This is America where I live and we are supposed to be the land of the free but yet USA is the originator in making it illegal to back up my movies. What's next? ...Take care.

Taking part of DVD X Copy's functionality away is not going to lessen piracy. There are alot of other programs that do the same thing. They are just making it hard for people who just want to backup their movies. It is not hindering pirates at all.

not to mention most pirates are technically gifted and can survive without a made-for-dumb@$$e$ program.....

no offense to ppl who use dvd x copy

I don't think it should be illegal.. as stated before if you want to be a pirate of software/dvd's/music etc there will always be an a "open source" free alternative to do it.

So I just think they are going aftersome who's actually owns software who is making it and trying to make an example of them.
