Rebel Son is on a distinguished road
gaming system?

Im gonna build my first computer finaly,but i would like some feed back on this .....it for games. let me know if this will handle most current games on full settings. do you think it could also do doom3 too?
well heres what im thinking so far

pentium 3.2w/512cache
gigabyte GA-8knxp
ati radeon 9800pro
sound blaster extigy
1gb memory (kingston)
120gb hard drive
52x cd rom

Thats overkill for most games these days, but if you have no problem dishing out the money, then by all means get it.

well the money part isnt too much of an issue. I kinda wanted a littel overkill so it will be on top for a littel while. any thoughts on this setup, is there mobos better suited for gaming than this one?

i'd suggest DDR ram, pc2700 or 3200.....

I suggest getting a more stable brand of ram. Get some lower CAS Geil or OCZ DDR ram for faster timings, and if you eve got into OCing later, those too brands would be better than kingston.
