Nvidia driver set 45.33 for 2k/xp and gf3 problems

I have a GeForce3 Ti 200 (Visiontek).

I am running a dual boot Win98SE and Win2k Pro setup.

Not being acquainted with Nvidia cards, I was told that the Win9x drivers 45.23 were good and stable, and for Win2k, get the 45.33 set. I ran setup for each driver set and Win98SE had no problems installing the card

Win98SE setup right off the bat with the 45.23 drivers but there is no way in hadies Win2K will set this card up using the 45.33 driver set. Being a trouble shooter type person, I always try to find out why.

I admit I don't know much about INF files, but from what I am reading, Nvidia left off a bunch of cards in this driver set. I can only install a Nvidia Dualview, a GeForce FX 200, 500 or 900 Ultra..none of which is my card.

When I look thru the INF for Win98 and then the INF for Win2k/xp, I see that my GeForce Ti 200 is not noted in the INF..and is probably the reason my card cannot be installed with this driver set.

I will D/L a different driver set, but in the mean time..has anybody here read anything about this 45.33 driver set not working for other cards?...with only those few cards showing up in the INF file, it would seem to me there would have been a lot of howling when that set first came out.

Has anybody here tried that set?..if so, with what card?

Update, problem appears to be fixed. Driver version 45.33 for 2k and xp did not include all of the different cards that use Nvidia drivers.

My problem continued with disconnects from the net on a dialup modem. After trying several different versions of the drivers, and by using an external modem that did not disconnect, it was eventually determined that the internal modem/drivers had gone bad.. a reinstall of the modem (after deleting the inf file and editing the registry), the internal modem is again working properly.
