Game message

Hi,

I resently upgraded my PC. I dropped a XP3200 on to my ASUS A7N8X deluxe board and had to update my BIOS to get it to recognise the new chip.

When going through a couple of the fav games I got the message from HW2.

"Homeworld 2 suspects that your AGP card is running in PCI mode. HW2 will run better if you switch modes"

I have checked out everything I can (not much) and have tried the game web site but couldn't get anything worth while.

Any thoughts?

have you checked the bios sinced you upgraded it to make sure it says AGP and not PCI, though mine has said pci and still has worked, but could be worth a shot? I would go through bios and make sure all your settings are correct.

I checked through as much as I can and it looks the same as before. AGP slot x8 enabled.

I think I'm going to try and unplug it, fit it in again and see what happens.

I will switch the pc off for the physical, but if i dont get any luck I might as well try it when it's powered up.

Do not unplug anything on the computer when its powered up! itll mess up ure system.

Thanks to everyone for the interest. The shock therapy wasn't needed.
