Securing My Keyboard

I was just browsing around my mouse and keyboard features and I noticed I can "secure my keyboard". I have the Logitech keyboard that comes with the Cordless MX Duo. What exactly does securing a keyboad do?

Send a message via ICQ to washe
If I remind correctly its to secure the channel the mice and keyboard are using so any other wireless device dont use it.

Secure Mode, a feature available on the Cordless Freedom™ Optical and Cordless Freedom™ iTouch™ (also known as the Cordless Desktop Optical and Cordless Desktop iTouch™ in Europe) keyboards. This feature was designed to encrypt the signal between the keyboard and the receiver to secure your privacy. It is a feature only available on these two keyboards, as the keyboards and their bundled receivers are equipped with the Secure Mode technology that work with the iTouch software.
