MS Office Shortcut Bar
I use the MS Office Shortcut Bar on my Desktop. I know how to customize it and I know how to add files. My question is that I have created other tool bars - ie: games. When I install a program (game), it puts the icon(shortcut) into the Desktop Bar. Is there an easy way to move this shortcut(icon) to the Games Bar? I tried to drag but that did not work. I know I can go into customize and delete it from the desktop bar and then find the file and add it to the games bar, but I was looking for an easier way. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.
The MS Shortcut bar comes packaged with MS Office. It is like the quick launch bar, but more advanced. The MS Shortcut bar can be separate quick launch bars for whatever you need or want on your desktop. You can have a separate bar for Favorites, MS Office, Desktop, Tools, Programs, etc. You can add bars for just about anything and name it anything. At the front of each bar is an icon that is always visible. You just click on the icon for the bar you want to use. I like it because I can have a different bar for programs, tools, games, desktop etc. They are not all together on one cluttered bar. They each have a separate bar. My problem is that when I install a program, the icon (shortcut) goes to the “Desktop” bar. I can’t find a way to get it to the bar I want. I know that I can go into the Shortcut bar program and add shortcuts to any bar I want from there, but I was looking for an easier way. My operating system is WinXP Pro. The operating system should not have anything to do with it. I have used this MS Shortcut Bar through my last three operating systems. Never have been able to figure out an easy way to move icons (shortcuts) from one bar to the other. Hope all of this makes sense. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
