Help with windows 2000 Server

Been trying to work with Windows 2000 server. I'll be honest, I'm not as professional as a lot of you folks!!

Anyway, been trying to set up the following in a v. small organisation in Glasgow (UK). They have asked me to look into the following

file host with sharing
internet access/routing
printer sharing
possible remote login
security from other users(explained below)

currently they have:-
5 computers connected through one hub. Each computer is connected to the same workgroup. Each user can access anyone else's system through n/work neighbourhood. The makeshift 'server' is running windows XP with ICS and IP config is automatic on all machines. The four other systems are all running Windows 2000 Pro.

Have given W2K server a try but could not get any systems to connect to the domain.

Could anyone help??
