Kids Printable DVD Media

I was looking for some good media and came accross some DVD's that say they are "inkjet or lazer printable" (example: http://store.yahoo.com/meritline/ver...printable.html )

Now i know my inkjet cant print on a dvd because it'd bend and break it going threw the rollers hehe, so what kinda printer does this? I was thinking it might be cheaper than going with lables, and be a bit better for the disk since it already has the "paper" on it.

Any links or experiance appreciated.

You need one of those ridiculously expensive CD printers, really not worth it for the typical home user. The real advantage of using "inkjet printable media" is that you can write or print a label without worrying about the usual prohibitions against that sort of thing.

Yep I think cannon started making printers that had CD trays and you could throw in a CD or DVD and it would print on a label and it does a fairly good job and it dosnt mess up the application or leave white edges around the outer ring ect. From what I have heard though is once its done printing you have to let the in dry for over an hour for it to really dry and stick to the surface.

this is the one they use at the demo studio my sister works at. They also have one that you load 50 disk in and will autofeed and print them but she said it was over $3000

The DVD/CD dupication machines are awesome. Put a spindle of 100 disks on it and walk away and come back in a few hours to freshly burned CDs all without the use of a computer
