Kids Help with Printer Replacement Cartridges

Howdy,

Couldn't find a printer section in the forums so here we go. I'm looking into replacement cartridges for my Canon S530D and the pricing here in Canada is just nasty I have been looking into the replacement cartridges from Shop4Tech and they have some great deals for replacement cartridges for my printer. The are about 1/3 the price with the exchange. Has anyone bought these type of replacement cartridges instead of the genuine canon cartridges? If so did they work out well for you? Here is what I'm talking about.Replacement Inks

This is their claim:

Our compatible ink cartridge at an unbelievable price gives you everything you need to keep your printer running smoothly. Manufactured under ISO 9001 to meet original specifications and performance standards. Capacity: 15 ml Magenta. Avg Yield: 420 pages at 5% coverage. 100% satisfaction guaranteed.

If anyone knows of great deals for printer supplies up in the great white north I'd appreciate a link.

Thanks Much,
Max

Typically cartridges from a refill company or a discount cartridge group are used... they've simply refilled them to a variety of different specifications. Some companies "refills" are just measured out syringes of ink using a pre-determined number. The actual cartridge might have held, say, 42 ml of ink... but according to thier ink packet for that cartridge you might only get say 30 ml instead of a "full" cartridge.

Personally I use the korec-type refill kits from my local Staples... the ink is perfectly fine quality (although refills are never the same formula as in the original) and they're easy to use. 3 bottles of 30 ml each is $20 bucks, so thats pretty decent. Color ones are (I think) around $30 bucks for a bottle of each color holding 30 ml. Give it a try... it couldn't hurt
