resolution setting too low

I recentley reinstalled windows xp managing to keep all programmes and documents etc.
But when i restarted computer the resolution was set on lowest settings and it doesn't allow the option to choose other higher settings.
Also i lost internet connection i use a usb modem and need to set up using setting "manually set up connection"but when i get to modem screen
it won't allow to chose dial up modem (i am using Bt broadband with Intel adsl modem and apparentley i need to choose dial up modem selection)
Has anyone any ideas?

When you reinstall Windows, you need to reinstall your video card drivers, and your USB modem drivers.

After you get them installed, you should get your better video settings and internet connection back.
