NTLDL Missing

I have 2 hard drives, each had a operating system (dif language), when i restart, it asks me to pick a OS (both windows 2000) to start.

Recently, I formatted one of the drives, so took out 1 OS. When I restarted, I expected it to just start up on the other OS, but now it says:

NTLDR is missing
Press alt ctr del to restart

Ok so now I found my windows 2000 disc, editted the bios so it starts off first on CD, tried to recovery console, selected 1. D:WINNIT. Then typed fixboot, but it did the partition sector on C:. And when I restart, it doesnt work.

Thanks

Try http://support.microsoft.com/default...;q289022#Task6

You can also download msconfig for 2000 from http://www.perfectdrivers.com/howto/msconfig.html and use the utility there to modify the file. if you need more details, let me know.

go into bios and set the hard drive that still has windows 2000 on it and set it as your first bootable hard drive(not necessarliy) your first bootable drive. your pc should then boot into2000.

if you don't know how to configure this in bios, check your motherboard manual, and if you don't have one then download one from your motherboard makers website. you'll need acrobat reader to do this.

btw configuring bios to boot to a different hard drive is very simple, but read first so thet you know wot to expect.
