what is needed in a case

i am thinking about jumping in feet first and building myself a case. i will already have all the parts needed (microATX mobo and donor parts from older systems) but i was wondering what is neccessary for a case to function. i will probably use old power and reset buttons from another case, but i heard somewhere that you have to be able to ground to your case. any ideas or suggestions or recommended webpages?

Hmmm, I do believe the ground plug from your PSU will do that job. I made a case entirely out of wood, and it didn't need any special grounding. Works great!

I believe that if you are using good quality, fairly recent components, then you should be good to go.

the motherboard etc will be "grounded" thru the power supply...just think of an acrylic case.

Also we all know that a pc will run without a case, lol....like when we boot the motherboard outside of the case to test it.

So it will be grounded thru the power supply etc

cardboard grounding??--
