Terminal services question

or remote desktop which ever name you prefer. im having a difficult time logging into a winxp machine.

i added a user name remote that is a computer administrator, i added the account to the the remote desktop users group but when ever i try to log into the computer i get the error "unable to log you in because of account restrictions" i have remote desktop enabled.

I presume terminal services is running?? what about server saervice and workstation service?

what about a group policy setting that has been set to NOT allow remote logon? (which also happens to prevent "fast user switching" )

Had a similar issue before but it was with remote assistance. which is basically the same thing

so did you add a password or a reg hack?? (just curious)

guess i shoulda asked in a PM... I know which one I would have done heh

i set it to use the blank password because its a vmware image. if some one wants in go ahead and screw it up i dont care. i have a copy of the image

a simple click and im back on track.
