Help with system imaging

Hey guys,

got a quick question. With windows i have symantec's ghost so in case i screw up my system i just re-image the system and everything is up and running with programs and data installed just how i like it within 20 minutes. With Red Hat Fedora i am learning it more and more. Too bad alot of the times i screw up my system to the point where i have to re-image Redhat & install all my programs and settings the way i like it. Is there program that lets you back up the system on an image like symantec's ghost. Or has anyone had a solution to the problem that they have used? Thank you guys for your help

-Amtrac

Depending on the version of ghost you have it may well support ext2/ext3 partitions (I know our Corp. version does), could be worth checking.

Hey lynch, thanks for the shameless plug.

amtrac24, if you want to use a Open Source solution, I highly recommend partimage.

also, as eddy said, most versions of Ghost will image and restore ext2 and ext3 partitions/disks.

NP, Germ.
I'd forgotten about Ghost doing that.
