Nero DriveSpeed issues

My daughter's computer (Dell Optiplex GXa, Win 98) has a poorly behaved CD-ROM drive, it spins too fast. I have used Nero's DriveSpeed to manually set the speed to something slower. It solves the problem and works perfectly.

At some point, DriveSpeed stopped working. When the program starts, it now gives the error message, "Unable to initialize wnaspi32.dll".

I have a sneaky suspicion this is related to installing Ghost on this machine. Any ideas?

Ok, I was able to run ForceASPI over the weekend and it worked. I ran the delete program first, then rebooted and reinstalled ASPI and it works.

Thanks for the help.

Ghost is now officially OFF my list of well-liked programs, along with all other Norton software. I am sick of going through the effort required to fix my system after using any of the Norton Systemworks programs (including two OS reinstallations).
