Hey i just upgraded from an ati 9700 to a ati 9800 pro i gave the 9700 to my dad. The problem is that i just benchmarked the 9800 pro and it got the same results as the 9700 which was 16,332. Maybe im using the wrong drivers which drivers should i use to best utilize the card?
Just to be extra safe, you may want to use a program like driver cleaner and wipe all traces of drivers before installing the 4.3 cat's...overkill yes, but I would do it anyway as its very easy to use.
be more specific... what fsb are you running at? what is your memory bus speed? are you running dual channel? what are your memory timings? what is the motherboard (nforce2 or a cia counterpart)?
saying that you have a 3000xp and 512 ram doesnt say much to me.... be more specific.
