New Cell phones interfere with PC speakers. Is their anything that can be done to eliminate this?

What kind of interference? I sometimes use my cell phone sitting at the computer and haven't noticed any problems. I've got a Motorola V60.

I have a Nokia 3595. Whenever I use the phone or it rings, static comes over the speaker

happen to have cheapo speaker wires?
Sometimes the cheap ones won't shield out intereference very well.

Send a message via ICQ to washe
well this problems existed all the time put your cellphone near any speaker at it will produce sound on it when it rings.

Same for monitors with radios and Walki-tokies.... it produces a kind of halo on the monitor when you put the walkie tokie next to the monitor...

Yea, I have the same problem. Whenever my phone (Nokia 1260) rings I get a huge amount of static from my cheapo speakers. But hey, you get what you pay for. LOL.

I have also noticed that my other monitor puts wavy lines on my tv while watching regular channels (channels 2, 4, 5, 7, 11, ...etc.). As soon as I turn off the monitor, the tv clears up.

Yeah, when I have my headphones on, I get a little static/beeping sound right before it starts to ring. When I hold the phone close to the earphones, the interference becomes stronger. It's almost like a Morse Code kinda sound. Normal nonetheless.

I kept hearing a thumping coming from my speakers every now and then. I ran upstairs several times to see if someone was knocking at the front door. Turned out to be my motorola phone keeping in touch.

I have the Motorola v400 (love it) and it does the same thing. For me, it didnt happen til I switched over to GSM. My previous phone was a Nokia with tdma and gsm. Origanally I was on TDMA service and switched to GSM for better rate plan and thats when the noise started. I then bought the V400 because I like new toys (lol) and it had the same problem. The nice thing is that my pc, tv, radio or whatever will make noise before the phone actually rings so I know a moment ahead of time when its going to ring. Its annoying a little but I got used to it.
