Word Document all scrambled .plz help.

Ok to make a long story short.

I am using 2 hard drives.
I deleted a word document from my main hard drive on the weekend by mistake. I thought I had it backed up to the backup hard drive but I did not.

After deleting the file, I went to format the main hard drive (NTFS quick as it was NTFS before) and reinstalled Widows XP since I had a lot of junk on my computer.

After format, went to look for the file on my backup hard drive but of course wasnt there since i never backed it up.

After googling for awhile I found a file recovery software and amazingly was to restore it.

But it seems it either lost its formatting or it converted it to a different code.
The file size is 35kb which is about right for its size, so I know there is still information left.

I am hoping to see if someone out here can help me.

It should be about 5 pages of typed english of a report I was writing.

Again, any help is really appreciated.

Sincerely,

Roeland.

PS: Appearantly I cannot upload a word document to this server.
I created a hotmail account where I uploaded the word document to.
Use: worddocument00@hotmail.com
Password: msoffice

PPS: I am not sure where to post this message. I thought application and operating system was the best.

Chances are high part of the deleted file was lost during the reinstall. My only idea is to try some different recovery software to see if any gets different results.
