Windows XP Pro Themes problem

Hi,

How does the Theme feature in the Display properties work?
I used to have the normal windows xp theme there and now it is not there anymore, i only have windows classic theme there and current theme and modified theme.

I also downloaded a Longhorn transformation 4 pack and i think this is what might have fooked mine up.

Before this I downloaded themse in zip files from the internet and i still dont understand where to extract the files to and what files and directories have to be there and it doesnt matter what theme i choose, they all dont work, i dont know what the hell is happening.

Can somebody just help me restore my themse that come with windows xp pro when just installed, and can somebody just help me understand how the themes work and what is a propor site to get themse from that actually work proporly.

Thanks alot , please understand I am also a bit pissed off with windows because we always end up re-installing windows and things never work and bugs and what not and it can get annoying , so anyways, i dont want to re-install windows all the dam time.

anyways, i hope i have a good day at least, hahaha

You want the full install with the themes. I believe it comes in guys or gals versions. Obviously the themes included must be diffirent or something.

The path on XP pro is:

Windows\resources\themes

I also have Microsoft XP Plus! installed. For themes I downloaded off the internet, and my "old" themes from Windows 98SE, I have those stored on my D drive in a folder I created called "Themes". When I want to launch a theme from this folder I go to control panel, change theme, and then "browse". I'm not sure if this helps, but that's how it is on my computer. I also have "WindowBlinds" installed. They have their own folder in the "Programs" folder.
