Undelete a deleted file?

I accidentally deleted a lot of movie files that I shouldn't have. But everywhere I look for an undelete program, none of them will let me undelete a file larger than 64k, without buying the software. Does anyone know of a free endelete program that can undelete files up to 200-300mb each, and works with Windows XP? Or what about an undelete command I can use in the CMD prog?

Thanks,
-Biz

I think the undelete dos command will only work in "real dos"..ie in windows 9x from the command prompt.

I believe that Undelete is able to undelete previously deleted files sometimes (i.e., deleted before Undelete was installed), but I don't know under what conditions this is true. You'd have to contact them or check their website to find out. It's not free but it's pretty inexpensive.

I never chekc the recycle bin as I always do a shift+delete

I was able to get a copy of UNdelete from my friend who wasn't using it anymore, but it wasn't able to recover all of the files(They were in a batch torrent) So I am just redownloading it again.

If you are using NTFS, it will be very, very hard to recover those files. If it's been more than a day, and the computer you deleted them on has been runing, I doubt you could recover even one.

Try:

iRecover from http://www.diydatarecovery.nl/ .I wrote the iRecover PDF manual – it may be of help to you.

I beta test for O&O Software and this is a nice program. The only program I have found that will recover deleted files from a floppy diskette.

UnErase from http://www.oo-software.com/en/products/ooue/index.html

UnErase V2 will be coming out in the next month or so.
