I don't see where you can cut $80.

Hmm... Nice build.. but.. go legacy free without a floppy drive. You can now make bootable cd's from RW's so you are set to go even without a drive.

Personally I think you would get better performance by going with an AMD system if you are getting a Celeron... and for same price or less... try these for same price...

or for slightly more but better performance...

Well I have some questions, I thought the higher the fsb the better also you showed me mobos with "A" sockets, so are you telling me I should go with the cpu you adviced? Also when is it smart to go REFURBISHED? Thanks again

Some refurbs are OK But it just depends if you want to take a risk.

I agree, if you're gonna get a gaming rig, don't go for a celly, the athlons are the same price and blow it out of the water, honestly.

Well Newegg has been VERY reliable with their refurbs.... I have bought little else in the last year from them other than refurbs and have not had one dud yet...
Often they come with all of the extras that retail include, sometimes only missing one or two minor things... IO plates, extra connectors for usb, stuff like that... they do not want to resend something that doesn’t work, they only lose money that way....
I have purchased upwards of 15 motherboards and 10 video cards and probably 20 sticks of memory from their refurb section, among various other parts, including cases, have always been more than happy... often people return things simply because they did not work right out of the box... jumpers in wrong configuration, not set up right, etc.
There are many factors when considering the performance of a CPU, FSB is only one of them, cache, speed, and others all factor in... Any athlon will outperform a comparable celeron any day, plus they’re generally cheaper.
It is just my opinion that you would be much happier with an AMD system vs the celeron setup you linked... what you configured is fine, don’t get me wrong, I just feel you would get more bang for your buck with an AMD.
Any purchase you make from any vendor is a risk... many of us have paid exorbitant prices for high-end parts from reputable vendors and have received DOA hardware, it is not that uncommon, as this forum will attest.
If you receive a dead or non-working part, simply RMA it and Newegg will replace it... There are no guarantees when buying Anything that you won’t get a bad part, it happens, in my opinion you have a better chance of getting a working part from the refurbs, why would they want to pay triple shipping for something they are already selling for their cost or less?
