Suggestions: DVI toVGA or PCI card
I want to do dual monitors my FX5200 (don't crap on my card I don't game) has DVI out should I get a DVI to VGA adapter or a PCI graphic card?

i would think that the adapter would be cheaper

DVI to VGA adapter, quite definitely. Having a graphics card on the slow PCI bus will hobble general system performance quite a lot.

I just got a 15" monitor, I currently have a 17" at 1152x864

should I lower the settings when I go dual? 1024x768 for both?

I'm at 75Hz refresh rate right now I don't know what the 15" can hadle, it's a compaq presario MV500 I'll look it up on the compaq site
