Home page setting itself to search engine

The IE home page keeps setting itself to this one search engine even when I choose a different one it. It works fine until I restart it. What should I do?

This sounds like spyware my friend. Download Ad-Aware and Spybot, update them and then make a complete search with both in your computer. Both are freeware. Spybot even has an option to protect the homepage in IE to be impossible to change, you will have to uncheck it to be able to change. This is just protection for spyware that change your homepage without permission. Works great.

I installed both programs, I'm just don't know how to activate the home page protection option.

run adaware and/or spybot to fully scan your machine to get rid of the application that is currently changing your homepage.

This will set your hompage.

Start > Run > ( input ) - gpedit.msc > Enter > User Configuration > Windows Settings > URLs > ( right click ) - Important URLs > ( select ) Properties > ( tick ) Customize Home Page URL > ( input ) - Home Page URL > OK

Thanks to Martoch.
