In my never ending quest to make my media play read mp3 tags, I find that I don't know what kind of tag to figure out how to read next.

Right now I can read ID3 WXXX, ID3 vCOMM, and the tags at the end of the file (128 chars).

Does any one know of a site, where it will tell me all or most of the popular types, the standereds of these and any other information (like where they are in the header, etc.)
??

... i mean the tag that includes the title, artist, album, genere, secondary title, comments, year, and possibaly other information.
EDIT: its in the file itself. for example open the mp3 in notepad, and look at the first line of info. most will be unreadable, but you will be able to pick out the info

If you've got a collection of over 300 songs or so, I wouldn't even bother with tags.

Yeah but this is for a program to play mp3s, hence it needs to read the tags.

Yes, tags are important. Especially if you have lots of files. The more mp3s you have the more helpful tags will be at helping you keep them all organized.

And they are even more important when you're trying to write the code of an audio player like Blaze is doing.

Here's one Blazer,

and another,
