abit nf7-s v2.0

Can anyone help me find the latest driver for this board please?Been to driver guide,Abit & Nvidia but cannot seem to locate it.
Abit only have the sata drivers. Nvidia only list drivers for Nf7-s (not specifically v.2.0).
I read on a forum somewhere "do not use drivers from cd NV -1.23m that came with mobo.use down loaded ones instead". This is the cd I currently have.
I need the ones for Xp. I obviously do not want to get the wrong version by mistake.
thanks for any links & advice.

I dont think the drivers are version specific. Especially since it does not say a version.

You might be right starfury. I wonder if the v2.0 refers to the SATA raid difference.Theat may then explain why abit only listed sata drivers for the v.2.0 flavour mobo?

i think the 1.1 (?) version had only 333mhz fsb and no SATA, and the 2.0 has 400mhz fsb and SATA

When I got my NF7-S v2 I had been looking up reviews and such and there was alot of people saying that there was many problems with the v1.1.

The SATA is only included with the NF7-S, not the NF7. The -s refers to the SATA difference. Was there any other differences? I cant remember.

Use the Nforce Drivers 3.13 from Nvidia. They are not board version specific. I have a NF7-S v1.0 and they work perfectly.

thanks all. My probs started when the nvidia tray system tray options stopped working.Said error with sndstorm.exe.Looking around for fix,the general advice was reinstall the nvidia drivers.I did this using the original cd with mobo nv-1.23m.It cured prob ,but it complained all the drivers being installed were older than current ones.I do not know why the drivers have changed unless it is to do with MS update. This is the only way I can guess they could have changed.

Yea, you shouldn't use the Windows update to update your video drivers. It tends to mess things up as you have found out. I only use it to install security and OS updates. All my software and drivers updates are done through the manufacturers sites.

NF7-S

I am running a NF7-S v1.2 in my sisters desktop. The new nVidia 3.13 (made for all nforce2 boards, no matter what version)drivers were made to fix the problems with the soundstorm.exe problem(which I myself have encountered). Also I believe it was to optimize the dual DDR controller. I was reading on another board that memory test scores where higher when the you set the RAM to 2-2-2-11 or in some cases 2-2-2-10 (depending on the motherboard and setup)....These settings only apply to nforce2 motherboards with the RAM in Dual DDR configuration, otherwise the setting for optimum use would be 2-2-2-5 or 2-2-2-6 for single channel DDR. nVidia admits that the dual channel RAM drivers are still in its infancy and is working to better optimize them.

darknyt, I'm not sure what the 2222-10 stuff is exactly? Can you explain in more detail? I am interested because I have just installed another stick of memeory in my mobo to hopefully make use of the dual controller aspect.I have seen no noticable improvement. I had a stick of 512mb pc2700 and have now added another identical stick .I have used slots 2 & 3 as suggested by manual.

On boot it says briefly that dual mem control is enabled now.

BTW
how do I stop the bios info going off screen during boot? it lasts for 1/2 a second and is gone before it can be read fully. Is there a control 's' or some such to pause boot so it can be read?
