Outdoors Microsoft adds to the online annoyance

Despite its well publicised attacks on spammers it seems microsoft isnt really in the business of making your online experience a happy place.
I was reading this article about microsoft not getting into search engine technology and what it is doing now. Pay particular attention to the quote at the very end of the article:

LOL
Sorry about the popups (not that they are my fault) I use mozilla firefox so I didnt get any pop-ups

Also Im not sure how good an idea basing a search engine on advertising is going to be, maybe microsoft know something we dont or their arrogance knows no limits.

Misc

Ballmer said Microsoft spends about 12% of its media budget on online advertising, and that he orders his staff to "saturate" that market first and foremost. "I want to make sure (a user) can't get through ... an online experience without hitting a Microsoft ad," he said.
clicked on said link in question.
Not even one pop-up there, maybe Privoxy has something to do with it?

I'm sure Microsoft will make a great search engine that is free of paid advertising that causes biased results.

To bad I won't be using it.
