desperately need PC to TV help!!!

Thanks in advance to anyone that helps me solve this...

I have a PC with a GeForce4 MX 440 graphics card that has an S-video out hookup. I connected an svideo cord to my tv, which is a 1 year old Sanyo flat screen. I followed the instructions I found on this website:

http://www.weethet.nl/english/video_pc2tv_nvidia.php

My computer recognizes the TV as another monitor, but all it displays is a fuzzy pink screen. One of my friends who thinks he knows what is going on claims that the TV and PC are running at different frequencies. I am lost. I dont know if that is the problem, if it is fixable, etc. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you probably did everything correctly. Not sure what the problem could be. Maybe you need some type of update or the TV is not compatible. Hope you get some answers.

Also, have you tried some settings on your TV?

If one is PAL and the other is NTSC (or if one is running at 50Hz and the other is running at 60Hz) this can happen. The picture can be pink/green or any other number of issues. Double check that the settings are correct.

~~EDIT
Since your TV is more than likely cannot be changed you need to make sure that your vid card matches the TV instead of the other way around.

sVIDEO is obviously video only so you have to get something to adapt the sound from your computer to RCA connector.
