Anyone think there's going to be a Grand Theft Auto 4??
I love the games, even the 2D versions. I'm pretty sure they will though. I mean GTA3 and Vice City were great selling games. So it would be a good idea. Heh, but if I was the creator of the game, I would definitly make the place set into Tokyo, Japan. Two reasons, they have their own mobs. (You see them in almost every ninja movie...the newer ones 1998 to now...well, you know) Also, the cars could be fun, though forgien, they are fast. Also you know they have american cars there too, so there wouldn't be too much of a difference. Be fun too, cause I'm sure most the people on this forum (sicne 90% of the greatest games in the world come from there any how) like Japanese. Anyway, I'm sure alot of you would like the ideal too. Anyone else got views or imformation?

From the Rockstar site:
GRAND THEFT AUTO: SAN ANDREAS ANNOUNCED
Rockstar Games is pleased to announce Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, the next iteration in the globally successful Grand Theft Auto franchise. Developed by world-class designers Rockstar North, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas will be available exclusively for the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system and is expected to be in stores in North America on October 19, 2004 and in Europe on October 22, 2004. "In the past couple of years, we have put an enormous amount of pressure on ourselves to ensure we do everything possible to exceed people's expectations with Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas," stated Sam Houser, President of Rockstar Games. "Even though we still have eight months to go, we are starting to become very proud of what we have achieved and we can't wait to get the game into players' hands." Leslie Benzies, President of Rockstar North, stated, "We are extremely humbled by the success of the Grand Theft Auto series and it has made us push ourselves further than ever to create a title in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas that will hopefully redefine the Grand Theft Auto series and revolutionize open-ended gameplay and video game production values." Over 30 million units of the Grand Theft Auto franchise have been shipped to date, including over 11.5 million units of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and over 10.5 million units of Grand Theft Auto 3.

Yep and they were both multi paltform games ya bunch of nuckle heads. Take PC platform out and you kill a somewhat good portion of those #'s. Like me. I wont buy a PS2 so I cant buy this game now. LOL. I can live without it too, Im sure others will say the same. I have vice city and 3 both. They just lost more sales kissing sonys buttocks.

Yup I agree with Xtreeme on this one, I have both GTA3 and GTA:VC, they don't ship it to the PC, it'll lose sales, same as Xbox.

Sometimes, I am afraid that GTA will be like one of those games that never dies. |

I agree that is *profanity deleted* also, cause at the moment I only own a Xbox, but I'm getting a PS2. (Getting one cause I'm a Final Fantasy freak...bit ubsessed with the games.) But I'm sure GTA: SA will be a nice addition to my collection when I have my PS2. Other than that, thanks for the imformation NotQuiteHere. I think it might be like the other GTA games and they release the game for PC and Xbox later on.
