The MSI K8T is an excellent board, though a few people have noticed some RAM conflicts with it.

farcry, set to 1024x768 with default setting runs faster than on xp........DEFINITELY.............

Halo on 64 runs...............Sweeter than sweet 1024x768 everting turned on and turned up full.........sweet.

i've got 64 bit forceware drivers from nvidia, no 32-bit drivers work with xp 64.

ATI does not have 64 bit drivers available yet..............no surprise there............laggin way behind as usual

the os olads very quickly and plays games better than xp. but it is a beta so it does have bugs and not all devices have 64-bit drivers available. BUT its a 64 bit os........FREE .......for 1 year.........give it a try

I just jumped on the 64bit bandwagon too. I ordered the following from Newegg.

MSI K8T Neo-FISR2
AMD Athlon 64 3000+
1024GB Corsair RAM

I'm goint to RAID 0 two 40GB drives (7200RPM) for the OS. When there is more support for hardware I'll install the 64bit Windows.

I'll re-use my ATI AIW 64MB 9000 video card.

I've been reading up on the next-generation of boards for the 64bit Athlon.

Taking the 64bit to the next level

I didn't see anything that made me want to hold up on the purchase (sure I'd want the new features).

It should be here next week so we'll see. I'm upgrading from an Ahtlon 1.2Ghz that lasted me for about 2.5 years.
