File Sharing Anxiety

Hey,

I know this is probably a frequently asked question, but I was wondering is the best P2P file-sharing program out there. Something without spyware or adware.

I used to have the original Kazaa, from back in the day, but I had to dump it in order to clean my computer up. Now that I'm virus-free and everything seems to be in working order, I'm nervous about installing something that'll screw me all up again.

There seems to be a lot of Kazaalite imitators out there. And the reviews at download.com don't help at all...they're all a little fishy.

Just looking for some advice.

Thanks.

JYD

I uses dc++ when I need to share legit files with friends
www.dcplusplus.com
It has no spyware but there are share limits and requirments for certain hubs.

What about all these programs like K-lite and K++...they're not all the same thing, right? (wow...can I sound any more like a newbie?)

The programs are different but I think they all connect to the same network (FastTrack). You might want to check out www.slyck.com to get the scoop on all the different networks and programs.

I use eMule. No problems so far. Seems to work with the Shareaza network, as well as having a decent site to check what files atn't fake.

Kazaa Lite is basically Kazaa without the spyware and it's a cleaner setup. And I agree with the fellas who use Shareaza. Great program, though my only complaint is it disconnects me from AIM and XFire frequently, as it's a bandwidth hog.

Same thought here.
