This is the first time I have dealt with Computer Geeks discount outlet. I received a defective CD burner from them and I have sent numerous emails to their returns and tech support email address requesting a RMA and return instructions but have not gotten a single response.
Has anyone dealt whith this company and if so is this typical.
Any suggestions to get this resolved is appreciated.
I have RMA'd a bad monitor before but I didn't use their online RMA email. Instead call their Tech Support hotline and requested an RMA.
They were very friendly and RMA'd the monitor with no questions. They arranged UPS to pick up the monitor and I recieved a full refund in 2 days after they recieved the monitor.
It's best to call and get a human on the phone for a faster response.
I had to RMA a system a while back I bought for a friend, I think I used email and it went fine. Try the phone though, if they blow you off there .. thats when you get worried
Thanks for the responses. It sounds like they are reputable and I am just experiecing the rare problem. I didn't want to have to go the credit card complaint route just yet.
I'll Post with my sucess/failure as this progresses.
I bought a few stuff from the geeks without any problem. I didn't have to RMA anything though but I used to email them with questions. Seems that time are not their virtue but they responded. Also there seems to be problems with cd-roms and video cards according to my friends who I referred to the geeks.
I had to RMA a couple items with them about 2 years ago and spent a lot of time on the phone trying to get someone to talk to me. Finally got it worked out but answering their phones is not their top priority.
I did an RMA on a mobo a couple of years back.Called and did the RMA on the phone. They did an overnight cross ship, and I had the new one the next day.Give them a call
