Outlook 2000 help

I have never used Outlook. I am trying to set it up so I can use it with my Hotmail email.
I go thru the setup but am lost at the Email Server Names window. What and where do I find the data that goes into the "Incoming Mail (POP3 or IMAP) Server" and "Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server"?

What else do I need to do to complete this setup?

Thanks

Probably Hotmail will have a support thing that will tell you.

I use comcast and this is what it tells us to put in:
Outgoing mail (SMTP) - smtp.comcast.net
Incoming mail (POP3) - mail.comcast.net

Maybe you could try that just fill it in with hotmail.com.

Hope that helps.

Did you look on Hotmails FAQ's and such? I'm sure they would have it...

Hmm, I've been reading around and it looks like Outlook 2000 wont work with a Hotmail account.

I Googled it and thats what I got from the results.

This looks to be resolved. The problem lay in that when the MSN dialup account was changed to a MSN/Quest DSL account the DSL account was not "provisioned" as a POP3 account. It takes 3 - 5 days for the provision to take effect but was assured that this will then work.

Thanks for your help
