car audio question

I might be buying this dual subwoffer/amp package thing it has two 12'' subs, in a box with a plexe window, there is also a amp on the side of it. My question is is it possible to hook this up to my home stereo and if so how would i mange doing this

well to run the amp you would need a 12 converter to power the 12 volt amp (depending on the wattage of the amp you would need a large converter =BIG $$)then from your home reciever just connect the speaker output to the amp low imput (RCA)

how would i go about that, also could i just connect the subs directly to my reciver and leave out the amp?

ya that would be the best cheapest way you can connect those speakers to your home amp and leave out the car amp

use a minium of a 18gauge stranded wire for the speakers

all right ill give it a try thanks alot dude, also do you think the subs could blow my amp? it is kind of old, and i already have two JBL 250 watt speakers on it i would hook up the subs to the to back channels though becuase it has room for four speakers
