Okay, I'll bite. I'm a windows guy, so laugh if you will...
You just spent $72.38 (USD) for a Linux distribution. That's a good thing?
I thought the big draw for Linux was "open source", "free" software...

When you buy a boxed set distro you are paying for the packaging, media and documentation. Many people simply choose to support the distro of their choice in this manner. This has nothing to do with the software being freely available and/or Open Source.

I don't want to start a this vs that thread, but I couldn't begin to count all the programs and tools and such that I am getting for my money, all pre-packaged and working with the distribution.
For the record, I have spent some $1500 US just on boxed Linux distros over the past 4 years, not to mention books, paid games, Star Office, and the cost I incur by shipping out Linux CDs to numerous people for free.
For me it's about value and solid, secure performance. I have also spent some $6-800 on Windows licenses (2K, XP) in the past couple years... and ALL I got for that money (other than the satisfaction of knowing my software is legal) was a buggy OS and almost '0' included applications.

Congrats, CMonster:
I have yet to take the Linux plunge, plus I was thinking that Win XP was finally a stable Windows OS. . .hah! The more I work with it and find probs with it, the more I hate it, and BG. As far as I'm concerned, he owes all of us money for selling defective products.
As I've said before, we should be grateful he doesn't build airplanes!
