1GB ram if possible
the graphic card isnt that bad, i have the same one and everything looks quite good!
the CPU is good too!
oh and a new HD, UT2K4 needs already 5.5 GB and every new game more than 1 GB

this PC would be enough for a year or a bit more

but if you want to see good graphics etc. (what isnt the important thing in gaming) you should get a radeon XT, but as a gamer, you dont look at the graphic you look at your FPS and i play UT2K4 on lowest detail to get somewhere around 130 FPS (i know i'm sick =)

thats a fine gaming machine. i dont know why the last poster suggested a gig of ram, u dont need it. i have a gig of ram, i dont see the difference - only for bragging rights... i wont get a gig next time.

add to the harddrive instead since thats your slowest and smallest component.

the videocard is a-ok by me.

Only weakness I see are the HDD's.

Might want to consider a DVD-CD drive instead of the CD drive.

On the Hd's even if one runs at 7200 rpm, which i think is the Ibm main drive. Is the 13.5 gig the problem or just that it is an older drive. I think manufactured in 2000?

A fine rig, but like was said beforehand, the only bottle-neck is most likely the Hard Drive space. Games today are taking up a lot of space, for example Unreal Tournament 2004 takes up a whopping 5.5 GB of space!

yeah, that will probably be next upgrade, have 2 13.5 gig HD's but don't play alot of games at once, so i don't actually install all of them, but the slave is just for games and pics etc. Might look into a 40 gig or something if the price is right..on tight budget anymore, still trying to get a vid. card for my daughters pc, have one lined up, but can't afford it yet.....

a 40gig is cheaper but just think, if you pay just around $10 more you get twice the storage space (80gig).
